Expert Seminar on Gender, Forestry, Climate Change and REDD+

A national level expert seminar on Gender, Forestry, Climate Change and REDD+ was held on 23 April 2013, at Fortuna hotel in Hanoi. The objective of the seminar was to strengthen the integration of gender perspectives into forestry, climate change and REDD+ policies and investment framework. The seminar was a joint initiative of RECOFTC - The Center for People and Forests and The Vietnam Forestry Administration - VNFOREST

With the aims of better coordinating forestry – related support and activities among the partners, the FSSP Coordination Office has initially developed a set of operational instruments, including the matrix of affiliation, since the beginning so as to have a comprehensive picture on partners’ activities in the forest sector

In the afternoon of the 23rd of April 2013, Ministry of Agricuture and Rural Development (MARD) chaired the Grant Agreement signing ceremony for the Project “To develop policies of sustainable forest management and promote forest certification in Vietnam” (SFM) between the Trust Fund for Forests (TFF) and Vietnam Administration of Forestry (VNFOREST). The ceremony took place in the presence of leaders of the relevant agencies, departments under MARD and VNFOREST.

Project for Sustainable Forest Management in the Northwest Watershed Area (SUSFORMNOW) is a bilateral technical cooperation project funded and assisted by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Dien Bien Province with the project duration of five years from August 2010 to August 2015
